He has recently retired as an HR Leader from the global manufacturer Procter & Gamble. He spent 22 years working for P&G in various roles, such as Team Leader, Maintenance Leader, Education and Training Leader and the last seven years as the Human Resource Leader. This work brought out Jason’s personal leadership skills: Bringing together large number of people to deliver one common goal. It also tested Jason’s ability to deal with large data sets, setting up bulletproof work systems, continually driving the group to the root cause of issues. Finally this work showed Jason’s ability to balance both executional and emotional intelligence of the role.

In his time in South Dundas, you may have seen him around any of the recreation facilities. Jason is currently President of the Seaway Surge Baseball Club, spearheading an organization that provides over 800 youths the opportunity to play baseball. He also a long-time member of the South Dundas Minor Hockey Association executive, being the ice scheduler for 12 years. He is an active member of the Morrisburg Golf Club and served as President or Vice-President for six years. If you come by a Morrisburg Lions Jr. hockey game, you'll even hear him on the microphone announcing goals and penalties.

Thousands of families know him through his community involvement and his commitment to work on behalf of South Dundas children and families. Because of these experiences working within the municipality, combined with his leadership training, the Mayor's position is his natural next step.
